The process is simple.
Just write the posts using a "plain text to HTML" syntax (ReST, Textile, Markdown) and save each of them to a local individual text file.
Give the location of these files to Socrates and it will transform the text files into HTML pages that users can access via a web browser.
Socrates also generates a home page which lists latest posts, single post pages, category pages, archive pages, an about page and an atom feed.
Just upload the result to a web server.
Keep in mind that Socrates is mainly geared toward static file blogs.
